ELECTRICAL INTERFERENCE
Duration: 4 minutes, 4 seconds
Electrical Interference is an arthouse documentary film turned into social commentary on the inability to communicate well with others. Whether insecurities about our physical appearance or fear of rejection, individuals trapped in social isolation with only digital realms for solace will feel a profound nihilism. The film uses enchanted sensory experiences and texts to offer an affirmation of the reality and perceived desolate barriers which inhabit social constructs.

NEEDLESS VALIDATION
Duration: 6 minutes, 50 seconds
Needless Validation uses raw video footage of aquatic life as actors to reflect on psychological impulses. The film conveys how natural enchanted imagery can provide solace when social interaction becomes devoid of meaningful impact. Through communicating with texts, the film speaks to the audience to seek validation from within, rather than from malevolent individuals only looking after their own interests. In essence, Needless Validation is about personal growth and how hypnotic natural imagery filled with ethereal qualities elevates self-awareness, far removed from the influence of others.

Here are a few of my favorite unedited photographs I took at The Oyster Point Hotel in Red Bank, New Jersey. So, I have had people ask me why I do not edit my photography. Well there are a few reasons, let me explain...
The reason why I do not edit my photography is because there is a certain 'magic' in knowing you are looking at a 'real' documentative image, devoid of any digital alterations. I love digital photography (and analogue format photography too), as a digital photographer and arts writer, I will find some photographers will overdo their digital alterations to the point of the photograph having a 'plastic' sheen and look to the surface.
Another reason I do not edit my photography is because I want to preserve the raw grainy pixelization in the digital photograph. The unaltered pixels in my digital photographs have a granular quality of natural light. If I were to alter the photographs, the pixels become distorted and create an 'elastic' look to the composition. There is an intense naturality in an unedited photograph.
The final reason I do not edit any of my photographs is because the practice forces me to be a much better photographer. By setting a rule for myself of not being able to edit my photography, I am forced to take a 'perfect' shot. This sense of mindfulness has me study my subject more clearly and with intense focus in order to capture a relevant and engaging composition as well as conceptual communicative qualities.
This photograph below, although covered in darkness, has an ominous apparitional feel to the interior. Devoid of individuals, this composition feels refined yet hauntingly empty, as if waiting to be discovered and engaged. There is an untold, silent narrative in this photograph.

NIHILISM OF DIGITAL REALMS
Duration: 4 minutes, 11 seconds
The short film takes the viewer on a journey of enchanted natural realms full of fantastical aquatic life contemplating on the futility and nihilism of digital planes. Through texts, the viewer becomes challenged to question their reality and much of their perception is shaped by artificial environments, particularly through digital applications. These images offer solace through real unedited footage against the backdrop of noise away from digitized automation.
